Info

The ShutterCable is an electronic switch. If 5V is applied to the input, an optocoupler switches the output galvanically isolated.

If the ShutterCable is connected to the switching output1 of your MikroKopter, a connected camera can also be triggered manually or automatically in flight.

For the most common models we have this ShutterCable:

For certain cameras / sensors, special designs are also possible. For more informations please contact the MikroKopter support: support@hisystems.de

The camera plug is plugged into the dedicated remote control socket on the camera.
The red BEC-socket is plugged into the switching output1 (C / + 5V or "CAM") of the FlightCtrl.
The red cable is set to "5V" and the black cable to "C" (GND):

To trigger the ShutterCable via your remote control, set a free channel to e.g. a push button on your transmitter. For this example we use Ch10. In the settings on your MikroKopter you have to set this channel now under Output1 Timing.

The switching output1 should be "off" when the push button is not pressed. For this disable the green box idle (dark green).

If the push button is pressed, the bar graph of Ch10 (Poti6) should move in the lower "channel quick display".

Two small changes are necessary if you want to trigger automatically the connected camera during a waypoint flight:

  • ea tick must be set at connect to WP-Event

  • the channel (Poti) entered under "Output1 Timing" must be able to activate the "WaypointAutomatic" function

How to setup the WP-Automatik you can see here: WP-Automatik

Function

Press the push button on your transmitter and the switchink output1 will switch. Now the blue LED on your ShutterCable will light up and the connected camera will trigger:
