Info
The LipoSaver is used for lipo monitoring for 3 or 4-cell lipos.
The lipo can be connected either directly or via balancer input.
INFO:
If a connected consumer requires too high inrush current, the LipoSaver can switch off the output directly due to the temporarily low voltage !

Technical data
- Dimensions: 33 x 16mm
- Voltage: 3S (11,1V) or 4S (14,8V)
- Internal power consumption: ca. 3mA
max. current: ca. 1A
(without reverse polarity protection ~5A)
Voltage ranges = 4S Lipo
- Warnung Summer - ~13,2V
- Shutdown - ~12,3V
Voltage ranges = 3S Lipo
- Warnung Summer - ~10,6V
- Shutdown - ~9,5V
Connection 4S Lipo
If the supplied 5-pin header is soldered to the ! LipoSaver, a 4S Lipo can be plugged directly over the balancer connector.
Optionally, the connection can also be soldered directly to the Plus (+) and GND (-) pads.
Connection 3S Lipo
If the supplied header is soldered to the ! LipoSaver, a 3S Lipo can be plugged directly over the balancer connector.
IMPORTANT
The upper pin of the pin header must be removed to avoid causing a short circuit!
- There must be a solder bridge between:
the upper Plus (+) pad and the underlying pad
the 3S pads on the other side of the board
Optionally, the connection can also be soldered directly to the Plus (+) and GND (-) pads.
IMPORTANT
There must be a solder bridge between the 3S pads on the other side of the board
Current
On the LipoSaver is a diode as reverse polarity protection. With this diode the max. Current drain is limited to ~1A.
If you remove this diode and replace it with a solder bridge, a max. Current consumption up to 5A can be used.
BUT BEWARE: This eliminates the reverse polarity protection!
